Conference Description/Who Should Attend
This meeting will focus on new developing research opportunities in arteriosclerosis, thrombosis and vascular biology. It will include special lectures, discussion and oral and poster presentations. The meeting format provides opportunities for intense interaction among participants during sessions and breaks.
The audience will consist of scientists/clinicians in the areas of cardiovascular research, molecular/cellular biology, clinical cardiology, physiology, immunology, genetics, cardiovascular surgery, hematology and endocrinology.

Kinetics-Metabolism – KinMet 2008
Tuesday, April 15, Noon–6 p.m.
Scientists interested in lipoprotein and cellular metabolism and kinetic modeling are invited to attend KinMet 2008. Award lectures honoring Mones Berman and Loren Zech for modeling research and Robert I. Levy for lipoprotein metabolism will be presented.

The Omni Hotel at CNN Center is centrally located in the heart of one of the nation’s most vibrant cities. Located in downtown Atlanta in the CNN Center Complex, across from Centennial Olympic Park, the Omni has a complimentary full-service health club and outdoor heated pool (open year-round). The running and walking trails at Centennial Olympic Park are also accessible to hotel guests. Many attractions are within two miles of the Omni, including the World of Coca Cola Museum, SciTrek Museum of Science, High Museum of Art, Martin Luther King, Jr. History Center, Jimmy Carter Library and Museum, CNN World Headquarters, Centennial Olympic Park and the Fountain of Rings, Georgia Aquarium, Georgia State Capitol and Zoo Atlanta.
Average temperatures in Atlanta for April range from a high of 73°F to a low of 50°F. Attire for ATVB 2008 is business casual. Please note: The temperature in meeting rooms may be cool, so a light coat, jacket, or sweater may be needed.
